How to play Would You Rather on Twitch

RatherLive puts a game of Would You Rather on your stream. Each question has two options, your viewers vote by typing 1 or 2 in chat, and the votes and percentages update live as they come in.

Set it up

1. Open ratherlive.com and pick Twitch Chat.
2. Type your channel name (or paste your twitch.tv link) and press Start.
3. Show it on stream: capture the browser window in OBS with Window Capture, or add ratherlive.com as a Browser Source and use Interact to press Start.

Playing with your chat

Chat types 1 to vote for the left (blue) option and 2 for the right (red) option. The vote counts, percentages and bars update as messages come in.

When you're ready for the next question, click either side. The votes reset and a new question comes up. The person who wrote each question and its ID are shown under the logo.

Single player

Not streaming? Pick Single Player on the start screen and click the option you'd choose to move on to the next question.

FAQ

Is RatherLive free?

Yes. There's no account and nothing to sign up for.

Do my viewers need to do anything?

No. They just type 1 or 2 in your chat like any other message.

Can viewers vote more than once?

Not by default. With One vote per viewer checked on the start screen, only each viewer's first vote on a question counts. Uncheck it to count every message.

Does it need access to my Twitch account or a bot?

No. RatherLive only reads your channel's public chat. It never logs in to your account or posts in chat.

Can I use it on YouTube or Kick?

Chat voting only works with Twitch right now. Single player works anywhere.

I found a broken or bad question. How do I report it?
